Our stay at Chance Hotel is a pleasant experience. The area is close to Taichung train station so it was pretty convenient, and there is a 711 right downstair the hotel as well! With many food places around and being near a handful of attractions, Chance Hotel offers a great location for tourists who wants to explore Taichung with both convenience and ease. A thing to note however, as soon as we step into the corridor of the hotel, there is a strange and weird unpleasant smell and we are unsure what it is. It did not affected our stay though as the room itself is comfortable and adequate. Overall a great accommodation place to choose for people who are looking for a affordable, convenient and comfortable hotel to stay for Taichung area!

Positives 1. The hotel is located just outside the Taichung Main Railway Station, across the road. 2. The bus stop was located just outside the hotel, giving very convenient options to travel within the city. 3. The staff at the reception was super helpful. The team was fluent in English and understood our requirements. 3. The food at the Breakfast was exceptional. As we are vegetarians, we got a few options, which satisfied our hunger. 4. The room provided had a large bed. 5. The room was neat and clean. Negatives 1. The room did not have any window. We could not get fresh air, ventilation and natural sunlight.

The location was great! Only 5 five-minute walk to Taichung station and right next to a 7 eleven. The room was very clean and much more comfortable than I thought it would be considering the price. Staff were super friendly! Was pleasantly surprised to see a self-service laundry available on the ground floor (40 dollars for a wash, 10 dollars per 10 minutes for drying, washing powder also available to use). The room had a window, fridge, and shower. Would reccomend!

It’s super close to Taichung’s train station, like it was only 2 mins walk away, there’re heaps of motorbike rental agencies nearby, and they’re also offering free overnight private parking for motorbikes which is pretty nice. The room price is really good value, around NT$500/person/night (if 2 people shared). TBH with this price, it far exceeded my expectations. If I ever come to Taichung again, I will definitely choose them again.
